Happy New Year!

The year is off to a good start. Christmas was great - so much fun with all the family.

I finished a few projects toward the end of 2008. I actually got 3 very nice FO's out of one (very large) skein of Interlacements Rick Rack II which I picked up at the 2006 TKGA show in Oakland. What a great deal that yarn turned out to be. The colors are just beautiful and it was lovely to knit with.

The reason I bought the yarn in the first place was that I feel in love with the sample feather & fan shawl on display. Just gorgeous. So I knitted up one of those:

Then, there was still plenty of yarn left so I knitted up a Montego Bay scarf. And, since there was STILL lots left, I knitted up a second. What a lovely, simple pattern. It is perfect for showing off the colors of this yarn.

And now for a gratuitous baby shot. Henry loves to have his back massaged. (Who doesn't for that matter?!) So here he is enjoying a New Years back massage:
